I may be wrong, but weren’t a bunch of clubs leases with their cities dependent upon maintaining attendance back in the 80s? So if the team tanked they could move without league interference?

i always like to mention in Major League threads that the ending was BS
Taylor gives the sign to the manager about laying down a bunt and its relayed to Hayes. Taylor then calls his shot and is brushed back and hits the dirt.
Hayes should have been running on THAT pitch, not the next one. unless the Indians had a sign for "staying in place on that pitch but take off on the next one"
