Little 4 year bump here. Was in need of a little inverter generator, so yesterday I went pick up a Preditor 1400w from HF because I remembered the OB seemed to have good reviews on them. Now, that was 4 years ago. Any new updates on these? Haven't fired mine up yet, but I'm hoping for the light use it will be used for, it'll be worth it.

Don't know, probably outside of minor cosmetics, nothing has changed with them. Make sure you test out that generator before you actually need it, get about 5 hours of break-in time on it under 50% load. A refrigerator is a good break-in load as it will automatically cycle. Break it in, changed the oil, drain out the fuel and store it somewhere dry and clean. I'd keep mine in a tupperware stoage bin in my tool closet just to be safe.

First think is read and follow the break in procedure before you need the unit.

I have had one of their 900w 2 strokes for years. I always run gas out, pull plug and squirt a little oil before storage and never had a problem.
