This. They cant stir up the hatred towards trump for being a rich old white male if their candidate is the exact same description. Obama was the perfect Dem candidate- well spoken and mixed race. Qualifications be damned. Now you see the media propping up Beto and AOC for a similar role. They tried a female last time, might try another female this time, but what they really want is a Hispanic or black person, especially a female to check all the boxes and "make history" again. That's what pulled a lot of independents to Obama if we're being totally honest. Dems are all in on identity politics.

If Obama wasn't black he would have had zero chance to win the Nomination much less the Presidency.
He was voted in because people wrongly thought that it would end the racism argument forever.
Instead it exacerbated it.
