100k combined is not struggling if you dont live in a stupid state like California or New York.

Problem is people want the nice car with the nice house and 3 fricking kids that play 9 sports.

That's not struggling, that's you living outside your means.

30-40 years ago people had roommates or lived in dumpy starter homes, paid 17% interest, worked on their own cars, had patches on the knees of jeans, sewed at home, still had some outdoor clotheslines....bought Christmas toys on layaway..

And these kids think they've got it worse economically?

Dr Sowell's has a great essay on that. Speaks of a magazine cover depicting the struggle of the middle class with the family sitting next to their pool outside. The article was ridiculous.

They are struggling to live where they think they SHOULD. A lot of people are.
