This. The quality of movies has gone down.
Not to mention selection of certain genres. There are simply not many big budget blockbusters being made that aren't a superhero movie or a remake.
There are VERY few comedies being made these days.
The quality of even dramas and dramedies has seemingly gone down. Everything is either Oscar bait pandering or some weird incredibly sad indie film about a magical drug trip that takes the main character back home to his trash town that he learns to love through the magic of LSD and his high school crush. I don't see good original stories being made. I only see pandering and remakes. Everything seems so risk averse.
