I don't see Dana as a good fit at LSU. If anything, if DD were to retire soon, I'd rather see a former gymnast assume the assistant coaching role (i.e. bring Gnat back).

I agreethat Bugs would be a great addition as she would have a few years experience as a full time assistant by then, would be in the 25 - 30 year old range and would relate well to the team.

Assume Bob Moore might also be retiring in next few years which would create two openings on staff. Just curious as to why you don't believe Danna Durante would be a good fit. Seems with her successful coaching background and connections she would be another strong recruiter, although I admit I don't have the insider knowledge that some of you do.

Dana is a great person but IMO is not what this program needs right now. I don't see the fit. From what I heard she does want to go back into coaching as soon as Sami's career finishes next year. She seems to be soaking in these last few years of her gymnastics right now.

When/if Jay is HC, he will probably bring in probably another big recruiter/and or someone very focused on the technical foundation of their gymnastics. There are a few things he would do different than what DD does. Not sure how long Bob wants to coach but he seems to love what he does. He has been good for us. He will have a lot to work with the next couple years with Bryant, Dunne, Arenas, Finnegan, Tatum and Johnson coming in.
