I don’t think the quote I posted is about not trading Jrue no matter what, I think it’s about the economic realities of a small market team which he’s very familiar with. I just don’t see him intentionally aiming for the 2020/21 drafts but I could see him getting there unintentionally if he really loved a top 5 prospect this year.

He loves Morant.

I like Jrue and all but I don't think he sells tickets. And I don't think a 36 win team sells that many more than a 22.

That said, ownership asked Dell how long they would have to be bad for if they did a complete teardown and rebuild and he said at least 2-3 years and they didn't like that at all. Wasn't acceptable.

However, I wonder if it would be any different if Griffin and a handful of really well respected execs brought that to them and advocated for that path
