Fury is her biggest ally in the movie and helps her against the Kree.

Oh, you mean the guy who has been a bad arse in every Marvel movie so far?

They made him a complete bitch in this movie that lost his eye to a cat.

He owes his entire career to Captain Marvel now after everything you have already seen.

They actually weakened his character.

Were you under the impression that he just slid out of his momma with the eye patch and a bad attitude?

Yeah he didn't know about aliens until Carol was chased to Earth and he joined her. Did you expect them to just say oh he already knew about everything? Would you be bitching if it were another hero?

You mean the same cat that swallowed the freaking tesseract. The one that killed mumerous Kree. The one that struct fear in both the Kree and Skrulls just looking at them. Yea it is no slight at all for Fury to lose his eye to that. Also it's clear that was also done for good laughs.

Also, it's called character development. Contrary to popular belief, he did not come out of the womb a badass. 24 years ago, he was not the Fury that we know and love today. He was new to all of this stuff. He had a bit of badassness to him, but ultimately the events of this movie is what led him to becoming the Nick Fury we know and love today.
