I foresee Dany being super annoying this episode in regards to how she treats Jaime. IMO Brienne and Tyrion will vouch for him. I don’t think Jaime’s trial will take up too much time this episode given the Night King and his army being close to Winterfell.
I see Jaime's trial as a sign Dany's resolve is failing.
Jaime came North to honor his promise, and as such he should be under the Queen's protection. Having an army would have been nice, but at least HE'S still there.
With Dany in 100% control, this lack of army would be annoying, but they'd move on. Trial is Stark doing, pure and simple.

And, is anyone else thinking the North sure is being petty about people who are coming to help them?

Dany: I'm here to save Winterfell from the Night King.
North: boo, we hate you. Jon's a traitor

Jaime: I'm here to fight for Winterfell against the Night King.
North: hey, that's a Lannister. Let's put him on trial

Theon: I'm here to fight for... hmm, oh nevermind. Has my ship left the docks yet?

It’s beyond petty. They have ZERO chance of defeating the Night King without Dany and her forces. And even with them there are going to be massive losses. The tension exists to either keep conflict amongst our “good guys” or the writers are just showing how childish people can be at even the most dire times.

An army of 100k+(a guess) zombies led by WWs is headed your way. The zombies can only be killed by fire, dragon glass and Valerian steel. The WWs can only be killed by dragon glass and Valerian steel. And oh yeah, they have a zombie dragon now as well that shoots blue fire. But by all means, we should definitely let Jon know how angry we are that he bent the knee and have a trial/inquisition for Jaime since there’s not much else going on at the moment.
