perhaps there’s a reason one never sees airtankers used over dense urban areas. like they’re designed to suppress enormous areas, or that dropping tons of water onto crowded streets could kill dozens and damage the structure you’re trying to save and many others

Lol, how do you think fires are targeted on high rise or other tall buildings that ground level water cannons can’t reach? Those pressure hoses are the same ones the firefighters on the ground use, just affixed to an aerial tanker.

Wrong. They said a water drop could damage the structure. That is true, but water drops are just one of several ways you use aerial tankers. Furthermore, once the building is deemed a total loss, and other structures in the area fall under severe risk, all options including water drops fall squarely on the table.
