It took several hundred years.

Having been there a few times this is just unbelievably awful. The world is losing something today.

Yes and it was absolutely amazing to stand in the center and look up and imagine what technology we have now that they didn’t have then but were able to do so much. Multiple generations of families built the cathedral. So glad i visited twice.
