Steph Curry didn't enter the draft after an amazing sophomore year (much better than Waters') because of doubts about his size. He came back his junior year and proved he wasn't a complete liability on defense. Boom, top ten pick.

Curry is 6'3

Waters is 5'9

That's a pretty gigantic difference. Show me sub 6 foot players drafted in the 1st round of the NBA draft last decade

That pretty much proves my point even more. Steph is 6’3” and people were worried about his size. That’s 6” taller than Waters. Waters size is something that can not be overcome

Pretty sure Steph Curry improved his ball handling or at least ran the point more as a Junior which improved his standing.
