A lot like Emmitt Smith —great vision, great hands, tough, did not lose speed when he cut (biggest asset IMO). He did not have the break away speed of a Bo, Hershel, KF or LF , but was extremely effective, especially on passes out of the backfield. Rarely lost yards bc he could shift his shoulders/hips to avoid a squared up hit. IMO he was tougher than K Faulk, but they had similar build and styles. Dalton ran behind his pads better than KF and I think that’s why he was more effective. Dalton dropped off very little when playing against a great defense. KF exploited some bad/slow defense bc of his speed, so I think the career stats are not the best way to compare the two.

I loved Kevan and Dalton ,The only fault I found with Kevan is that he didnt pick his feet up until he hit the line of scrimmage as a result a hand on his ankle sometimes brought him down behind the line of scrimmage , hilliard didnt have that problem , they were both under rated .! Keven would carry the patriots from 20 to 20 and then fake to him and and give it to a bigger back ! that was why he was under rated !

If Dalton ran behind the line Smith did he would be the NFL all time rushing leader and 1st ballot HOFer.
