He was a legitimate star and very exciting to watch.
Always an underrated player, even in the NFL.
I always thought he looked like he was wearing skates when he ran - low to the ground and shifty.

I loved watching Dalton as a Tiger. Hilliard and Garry James, along with Alan Risher, Jeff Wickersham, Herman Fontenot, Rogie Magee, Sam Martin, Garland Jean-Batiste, Craig Rathjen, Mitch Andrews et. al. made LSU a potent offensive unit from 1982-85. They were really fun to watch and Tiger Stadium remained full til the final horn sounded back in the day.
