Sorry I meant just in the USA but the even Cabo AirPort is better than MSY.

MSY compares to Jackson, mobile, and other southern dump airports instead of places that host Super Bowls.

Am I the only one who thinks that there is something a little stupid about trying to rush the opening of an airport? Seems to me that if you need a few extra months to complete, that should be ok

Correct me if I’m wrong, by the more this gets pushed back, the better, since the interstate off-ramp situation at the new terminal isn’t good.

Especially when the current one isn’t broken. It’s a pretty convenient situation.

Other than the one check point most airlines aren't looking forward to moving to the new airport. While a new airport was needed this 'rushed' approach has led to headaches for airlines to try and figure out.

I flew last week. Left out of gate B7. I parked in US Park and I bet you I was standing at the gate 10-15 minutes latter. Shuttle, TSA, walk down the concourse included.

When airports are built, do you think they care more about the locals or the tourists?

Expect higher ticket prices sometime in the future too.

You are so completely full of excrement.

The takeoff and landing fees are increasing by $1 per passenger. So yeah, I guess ticket prices will go up by $2. What will we do?

I've been working construction in New Orleans for the past 6 years and this isn't a surprise at all. There isn't a shittier city than New Orleans and there isn't a shittier industry in this shite city than the construction industry and it's a complete embarrassment.

Please explain to me how I'm full of shite? You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't know how the current msy operates nor how the new one will hamper travelers. Kindly get fricked.

I've stated before... going from 14 bag belts to 6 is a major problem. The belts themselves are smaller (where the baggage handlers drop the bags off) so that will increase drop times. There is no 'breezeway' system for airport workers to get connecting bags from one side of a concourse to the other without having to go all the way around the concourse. Functional things like where the airlines will stage the bag carts are non existent. The transition point or t-point area for southwest will be worse at the new airport... currently they use two belts.... two sides for each belt... the new airport they will have two belts but can only use 1 side of one of the belts because of the horrible design.

Plus other things... but since you know oh so much you fricking twat please tell me how this will work out. These are things that will make things worse for travelers.

Once again... you don't know dick.

Should care more about the locals since they use it more and pay for any shortfalls gate fees do not cover.

Tourist will love that shuttle to the rental car center.
