My initial thinking is no, but the dude in rehabbing to come back and wants to come back so I could see him eventually playing a game even if it is just celebratory

He definitely shouldn’t. I know he is rehabing but seeing him walk out during the NFL Draft was so sad and shows how far he still has to go.

He was box jumping today.

Assume that's why you asked this question

That’s great to see. However, he won’t pkay another down of football again. Dude has made $18 million. The fact that he’s even walking is a miracle.

That is rehab stuff that he’d be doing regardless, just to function in everyday life

No shot man. He's doing amazingly well though.

Most SCI patients never do box jumps. That isn't exactly a functional task for like 99+% of the population. The rehab stuff he'd be doing to function in everyday life would be focusing more on him standing unassisted (notice how he had a bit of support prior to the explosive movement) in different scenarios and actually ambulating.

He's doing these because he's trying to regain some semblance of his previous athletic ability and because he has the resources to continue with therapists who work on things like this with him. They're a cool story and it's awesome that he's doing this, but I'd just hope the guy can walk without an assistive device/assistance across a grocery store at some point.

No, and he shouldn't. Not worth the risk.
