Same thing happened to me several years ago when I had someone come by my house and saw the china cabinet I built for my house. They REALLY wanted on like it but when I mentioned what it would cost, they begged off.
Most people want discount store, particle board material prices for solid wood furniture with good joinery, and I'm not doing that.

Just wait till they see the planters I have planned. Going to be cedar with angle iron frames on 4x4 cedar posts.

I get told quite a bit "no, that's too much, I can get it at hobby lobby for a lot cheaper"
