I'm a teacher (though not currently in the classroom) and I'm not the one who needs a clue.

Teaching is really tough today, much tougher than it was a generation ago. But the biggest problem is discipline, and the second biggest problem is all the hoops teachers have to jump through and all the stupid paperwork they have to do.

Actually teaching the curriculum that is supposed to be taught isn't a burden unless you get kids who are already way behind when they get to your class, and that's not the fault of the curriculum or the standardized test.

Agree on all points . Got 22 years in myself

We are just trying to hit moving targets over here. They get the scores then set cut points. Seems it’s all a game

Only get credit for 1st time testers too and kids know they have several opportunities to pass , it is a no win for schools
