I enjoyed some of the set pieces and the characters interactions between past and present selves, but I thought kronika was a boring antagonist.
The plot as a whole seemed like a justification for plot inconsistencies and retcons. But ultimately it’s a fighting game so I don’t mind the lore being a little all over the place, lol

Really? I thought it interesting that she was behind EVERYTHING in the entire franchise, from Shao Kahn's rise to power to Shinnok's fall to Deadly Alliance to Deception to Armageddon, to Raiden's attempt to fix the future.
Even after the Cage family defeated Shinnok, she didn't intervene until Raiden cut her son's head off. Then she lost all sense of logic and reason and it became personal. She went from semi-Neutral to full on evil at that point.
