Part 1

Part 2

both are youtube videos posted by the plaintiff's firm. there has to be some ethical considerations in posting depositions online (these are the only 2 videos uploaded by the firm) but oh well

y'all enjoy

This is just a way to try and ban Alex Jones from speaking in the public discourse

Of course they disabled comments on it.

Cowards

ETA: Just hearing Jones first response and the delay he paused before answering, he's not going to say anything stupid, he's not dumb.

That assumes what he says will be lit.

I may look at some of this out of curiosity, but I recall the reporting of his child custody hearings some months ago where Alex Jones testified that his on screen persona is a character that he portrays, that he isn't the wild man you see on the internet. That made sense to me. You can't be unhinged all the time and put together as successful a broadcasting platform as he has.

The interesting part is that so many people believe that the unhinged character is who he is or that he actually believes all of that stuff.

The first video clip they showed him, at the depo, was a media matters edited clip they took stuff he said out of context, and they admitted it was edited.

Amateur hour.

I’m very good friends with one of the defense attorneys. I won’t say much but trust me - the plaintiff attorneys are huge pieces of shite.

Just like CptBengal.

He portrays himself as an unhinged aggressive anonymous poster on the internet. But if you met him in person he would probably have parachute pants and a mullet and live in the back room at his parents' house, not at all the crazy guy we see and love every day.

There has to be something unethical about posting that online?

this applies to any media personality, including opposition (to Alex Jones) like Rachel Maddow or Chris Hayes

True.

That's why Colbert was so funny on Comedy Central. He was the only one for whom everyone was in on the joke.

i don't think it's blanket unethical but the litigation is ongoing (the depositions are only a few days old), so ethical issues could be raised

Considering they gave them to media matters to edit is a violation of ethical standards

If the plaintiff attorneys posted the videos just to try to embarrass Alex Jones (and there probably isn't another reason) then it could be a problem for them in some manner. It would be an abuse of their position as attorneys. Maybe there aren't consequences which would be meaningful, but it is likely an abuse on their part.

On Twitter that there's just really one main thing everyone seems to be taking from the 3 hours of video.
