Softball No. 5 in RPI

Heading into the beginning of this week, LSU was No. 5 in the softball RPI rankings. Good shape to be a host for supers.

Take care of business like they should and end on a good note vs Alabama, its looking really good right now for that to happen.
LSU hasn't hosted since that 2015 season. LSU is deadly at home. This season has been a wonderful surprise in many areas, kudos to the staff and those kids for the big time adjustments this offseason. Those pitchers are more than holding their own and have done some great stuff.

Great to see, hope hoops wins it all, but after that more focus on this great program and great coach...286+ d1 softball teams and we are top 5, now that's a winning program! (and no not taking shot at gym team, #3-4 out of 50 is great, but this is an even bigger statement)

Softball has quietly been the most consistent program at LSU under Torina. The SEC is brutal in softball, but what she and her staff have done at LSU deserves praise.

well said, not sure others understand how tough to build and keep top tier in this day and age in softball, 286 teams and SEC and west coast dominate, Yvette did a good job but to maintain and beat programs like Ala and UGA and UF as a new coach (not new anymore) is special, she is a great find
