I totally agree with him. Coaches should be allowed to chew players out.

I would say he’s more the voice of common sense and reason in general. I don’t think I’ve ever heard one of his take’s that I disagreed with.

95% of the discussion was people complaining about the negative reaction to Izzo screaming at him.

I missed the part where coaches are not allowed to chew out players.
Or are you crying about people crying on Twitter.

Don’t have a problem with coaches getting after players on the court/field or in the locker room. Only time I have an issue is when college coaches rip players in the media, which obviously doesn’t apply here.

I'm all for chewing them out and I've had plenty of arse chewings by bosses but never one boss put his finger in my face.

If you rip a player on the court of a NCAA tournament game to the level Izzo did haven't you ripped him "in the media"?

ETA

I mean Izzo can't be the only day coach to be upset with a players performance since Thursday but his is the only one we are talking about.

They still don’t know what you’re saying about the player if you’re doing it on the field or in the locker room. If you’re calling a player soft, questioning his work ethic, etc I’m sure most would rather keep that in house or face to face instead of telling reporters at a press conference and effectively the whole fan base as well

Full disclosure, I just watched the clip for the first time. I was expecting much worse to be honest. Mainly because of the noise I’ve heard about it.

I’m sure Izzo would probably like a do over, but it wasn’t egregious imo.

Egregious like he should lose his job or be punished in some other tangible way? No of course not.

Was it a overreaction and not a good view on him? IMO yes, but I also don't think this one moment is a reflection on his overall character.

No but it’s still a mystery to me, you and everybody else what he said. At least I haven’t seen what he actually said. When you bring a lot of things over the lines to the general public that’s where you start embarrassing a college kid and damaging his self esteem. At least for a major program like this on a stage like this.

Only 1 person did that and it was Izzo. There was a way to handle any displeasure had with the kid that didn't draw national attention
