Well payment is a different conversation. I mean just understanding what your insurance paid, what you owe, why you got 6 bills for the same appointment, etc. If 3 pretty financially literate grown men are struggling with it I don't know how the lower tier of society has ANY hope of figuring it out

I still refuse to pay the $120 bill for the bullshite hearing test we said we didn’t want for our second. $120 and the kid is almost 2

So, yesterday I got a bill for $25 from my child's pediatrician. Which is odd, because whenever we go, we pay a $25 co-pay. The date of service is June 7th, which is almost 10 months ago. According to the bill, Blue Cross made their portion of the payment on January 9th, 7 months after the visit and almost 3 months ago from now.

I checked my bank records, no record of making a payment around June 7th. Wife is going to check her records today. In no way do I remember taking the kid to the doctor 10 months ago.

I'm sure we took her and I guess something happened and for some reason they didn't collect payment and we owe it, but maaan there has to be a better way.
