You can say that, while at the same time acknowledging that LSU has been heavy-handed and clumsy in handling this.
Seems to me the best way to protect themselves is to get together with WW without the NCAA so that he can tell you everything and they can strategize going forward.

My guess is that LSU wanted to show the NCAA that it took the situation seriously and it wants to avoid the harshest of possible penalties.
As far as wade getting together with LSU, I assume Wade's lawyer said no.
