I know that you are sick (and I really do feel awful about that) and I would assume that it’s been a financial strain on your family based on the go fund me.

I’m just saying it’s times like this I wish folks would see how terrible our healthcare system is and no person, no matter the circumstances should have to go through what you are dealing with. Just because you got sick, you are in a bind and I think that’s wrong.

Just.stop. this has nothing to do with healthcare or politics. even if he had absolutely free healthcare (*use the military for example) it does not mean he would be financially secure when this health crisis hit. universal healthcare, medicare for all fantasies would not make his current situation better.

he would be waiting in line for months (see Canada) for the next cat scan to see if chemo worked. waiting in a long line to see any cancer specialist or doctor. even in a perfect world of free healthcare his copays, cost of living, prescriptions,burden to spouse because they want to care for the sick person, and so on...

There are gofundme's started for vile POS political figures because they got fired from govt. There are gofundme's for people to travel to Lourdes, France, other places to get healing and holy water. The Cleveland Clinic, Cancer Centers of America.
