If you like those then you will probably enjoy Yellow Spot

For a sipping type I highly recommend the Hibiki Santori Japenese whiskey
I hear a lot about Japanese whiskeys on this board. What’s the difference between this stuff and a regular American bourbon or whiskey. I gave up brown for lent but want to try when I hop back on the whiskey train.

You can't buy that blantons anywhere either.

Lagavulin is my go to.
When I'm feeling cheap, I get some Té Bheag.

Bourbon: Four Roses single barrel
Scotch: can't go wrong with The Macallan (any of them), but if you like it rich and smokey and you're feeling a bit spendy, I recommend Lagavulin 16. That's what I keep on hand to mark special occasions.

My new favorite sipping bourbon is 1792 small batch. Easy to get and very smooth. Since trying the 1792 the the Blantons stays corked on the shelf.
