Of those four I was only scratching my head over Provens. Auburn was sitting there telling us that guy is so, so not sec material and we go out of state to nab him. Wasn’t pooka in that class too?!? Wtf?!?

O really needs to fix the DL situation, because I just go off his evaluations. It’s been a nice series of whiffs lately. I was cool with Livingston because of O, but I’m not crazy about signing high school kids over 350 lbs

i don't blame the staff for pooka the same way i didn't blame miles for "spin move" lacy. neither seemed able to become eligible

There are only a few outcomes, and none of them are great.

They come in and have to lose weight before they can contribute, then by the time they are able to play regularly they have knee problems that limit their effectiveness.

And if they do show any sort of talent in the short window they play, they leave early.

If they don't show any talent, they either transfer out, languish on the roster, or get booted for off the field issues. (not unique to guys over 350, but still)
