No matter what happens, I STILL love Will Wade

TL;DR Version:
1) I love Will Wade and regardless of what happens, Thanks Will for this season. For one brief moment you turned us into a basketball school.
2) I threw some gifs in at the end for those that make it that far.
3) If you downvote me for too long of a post you are probably an Alleva plant anyway.
I have been a basketball poster on this site for many years, #freecamplsu. For years, all I ever wanted was to see a basketball program that I thought this school was capable of producing. I remember being a kid in the early 90s and being so awestruck by those LSU basketball teams under Dale Brown. I was too young to really understand what happened at the end of Dale Brown’s tenure but I just remember LSU basketball disappearing for a few years.
Insert John Brady and a couple of years later, he reeled my love of LSU basketball back in with his Sweet 16 team with Stromile and Jabari just running all over the SEC. Brady had his ups and downs but his teams always fought hard. I was lucky enough to be a student at LSU during the Final Four year. Being apart of that run only cemented my love of LSU basketball. After the Final Four, I defended Brady even when the writing was on the wall that his tenure was coming to a close.
Although I never liked Trent Johnson, I loved the players we had. After the SEC Championship team and the next set of down years, I kept watching and hoping for better even when the product on the floor was trash. I remember staying up late only to watch us get destroyed by an average Oregon team in the NIT.
When we brought in Johnny Jones I was just exited to see an up tempo brand of basketball. Then Johnny brought in elite talent and I got my hopes up yet again. Only for LSU basketball to let me down again in the form of the NIT opt out season.
Throughout all of those years, coaches and players, the program let me down way more times then it rewarded my loyalty. Because of that I had my guard up when we hired Will Wade. I was worried that he was just another VCU flash in the pan coach. But then this season happened. For the first time in my memory, we had a basketball team that got better as the season went on. Next, we beat Kentucky at Rupp and then Tennessee at home and vaulted into the elite of college basketball. These were games that this program would lose throughout my lifetime and fanhood.
This season has felt different than all other LSU basketball seasons. To me it was all about the way Will Wade carried himself. You can just tell there was something about this guy and his team just kept getting better and better. Watch this team enough and it’s obvious that this coach has a long career in front of him with a lot of net cutting involved.
Regardless of what happens this week and beyond, (frick those cocksuckers, Alleva and F King) this past Saturday was my favorite LSU basketball experience of my lifetime. For one Saturday, this entire fan base was behind this team and this coach. Since Skip Bertman, there hasn’t been the amount of universal love for an LSU coach as there is for Will Wade.
For one Saturday, LSU was a basketball school. From the students and the Free Will Wade chants to Wayne and Faye Sims cutting down the nets at the very end, that was one hell of an experience.
So if the inept leadership at LSU, the National media, and the powers at be in college basketball make Will Wade a matyr for a corrupt system, I will always love Will Wade for what he did for the basketball program in such a short time.
Here’s to Will Wade and the 2019 SEC Champions.

Actually that was your boy Joe that called them up. He should have just stood tall. Not like he knows anything about that.

Come on, he provided pics/gifs for those that studied at the center for kids who don’t read good.

This sums up about 95% of the fanbase’s feeling towards this whole situation and towards this season. This team is special.

Wade has that "you don't like me, I don't care," vibe to him that makes him a perfect representation of LSU athletics as a whole. His demeanor embodies LSU like no other coach IMO.. this program would have been soaring under him but sadly... Too good to be true

Bump for a true Tiger fan
The people on this board saying "Well, ya know gosh darnit, I just think that if Coach Will cheated he brought this on himself."
It shows how truly out of touch from reality you are in the world of college athletics, and you simply cannot be taken seriously. Many people when this is all said in done will be eating their words.
Also, get off your high horse. Every single time you turn on college athletics...EVERY SINGLE TIME, you are putting your morals to the side. Every time you watch a student athlete perform, there are corrupt people making hundreds of millions of dollars.

I say we ride with him unless he gets a show cause. We gotta sit out a tournament or two? To hell with it. Keep him. Else you’re gonna end up with a Shaka or Alford best case scenario

I mean definitely best case scenario, and I would assume there is zero chance. We hit GOLD with Wade so I feel as though we will try that route again to save some cash, and I have a feeling we will not hit again

This may be the stupidest thing I have seen posted about this yet. And that is saying a lot.

Spare me the self righteous BS. Our program was awful absolutely awful for the decade before he showed up. I’d rather a guy who aspires to get out of the pit then be stuck in this Lucy Charlie Brown of mediocrity that has been here since 2007
