Again no one is really arguing that if the transcripts are accurate it's bad... The argument is that these transcripts are not even court evidence (yet), but a leak to the media by an anonymous source... So there's no way to authenticate them or confirm that they haven't been doctored in some way.

There is no law out there that says if someone is subpoened as a potential witness, that they can't talk to their employer.

WW doesn't want to talk to LSU, I'm guessing, because the things he has to say aren't going to be pretty.

If WW was squeaky clean, he would go to the admin and tell them just that. When you have nothing to hide, you have no fear of speaking.

Yet, we now have, 1) WW refusing to talk to his boss and 2) a statement that in no way denies anything or insinuates it's not true. So that's two data points that tells us there is probably more fact to this than we want to admit.

Not arguing he's clean, but the admin (one of whom literally worked for Duke) should know how this game is played... Why would they even call that meeting now, there are so many ways you can spin the Yahoo stuff to basically kick the can down the road until the trial without looking like there's LOIC.

"We are aware and are currently looking into the unsettling reports by national media outlets. However, until we can verify that the report is authentic we will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with all involved parties to be sure that we are getting a full and accurate account of any events that transpired in and around our men's basketball team. Until such time that we can say we've gathered all evidence, Will Wade is and continues to be our head coach"
