Everyone may “know” that UNC/Duke etc buy players but until you get me an audio tape of Coach K caught like WW, then it’s just an accusation. We got caught, indirectly, but we got caught. It sucks, but it’s our reality. When the FBI finishes this will be an NCAA issue and we will get hammered.

What illegal enhancement did Wade offer to Smart or anyone else? I cannot see that in those illegally leaked transcripts of a tape the judge wont allow into the court proceedings.
We can IMAGINE all sorts of things he might have offered but do not have evidence of any one thing he offered.
Has the NCAA even heard the tapes? Is all the NCAA might have what YahooSports chose to release? Is everything on YahooSports always true and factual? How do we even know their copy of a transcript is accurate?

This is a little different than a speeding ticket don’t you think. How many lives are ruined by that speeding ticket?
But I get your point. And yeah wade got caught and it’s bad and it sucks. But for the national sports media and blue blood coaches to stick their heads in the sand and let a coach that’s not in their elite club take the fall, is intellectually dishonest at best and completely immoral at worst.
Now of course no one will just out themselves but the moral virtue signaling is disgusting.
For Pete’s sake, Boeheim kills a person with his vehicle and was coaching the next game.
