I didn’t agree with Beth deciding to ask Doyle to bunt. After Sunseri walk, I thought we were gonna pinch run for her with Bourg or Thymes (we did). But if we were gonna advance the runner, I rather steal because A&M haven’t been able to throw people out. I know Shemiah and Thornhill have hit well this weekend, but I don’t think you should sacrifice Doyle for them two. But Beth is trying to see what we can do. We’ve lost 5 games, three of them (Stanford, Indiana, A&M) we’ve had some bad errors. We’ll get better. We scored 5 runs but we hit a lot of balls very hard, they just didn’t get down for hits. Excited for next week.

Steal second, bunt the runner to third. You dont bunt the runner to second when you can steal second base.

LSU faces troy for the midweek

I would personally like to see Goff see some major time in that. She honestly seemed extremely comfortable in the circle today. She had a nice changeup and drop ball and was painting the corners well.

They have got to figure out a fix for Gorsuch though. I really didn't go into this year being too overly concerned, only with the IPs. But those IP's seemed to neutralize her badly and she looks like she doesn't have any confidence right now. She is hitting batters, walking people, getting into a lot of full counts now. LSU needs her to step up badly though as we go into conference play.

Kilponen just isn't ready unfortunately. I think the mental aspect is one of the more significant issues. Opening weekend she seemed very relaxed and was pounding the corners of the strike zone extremely well. Since the Florida trip she seems very tense and its showing substantially in her control. She is hanging pitches over the middle of the plate. She throws extremely hard and has some nice pitches but those have not shown since her first weekend. She is clearly talented and has potential but she will just need time for development.
