Used to love those places when we vacationed when I was a kid. Big thrill to see them advertise color TV on the sign

We stayed in more than a few outside hallway type motels but they were usually the chain ones so not as shitty.
I'd probably still stay in them if not for the social (and wife) pressure not to.

There is one in Donaldsonville. The sign might not be up there anymore, but if it has been removed, it was been within the last 10 years or some so. The last several times I went that way I didn't pay attention.. But it had/has a sign that says "color tv in each room"..
