he's subpoenaed as a witness in a trial coming up. this leak was almost assuredly done by the lawyers who subpoenaed him. there is no privilege b/w Wade and the admin, so it could open an evidentiary can of worms if he speaks with them about a factual scenario he's subpoenaed on.

the admin knew this. that's why they cowardly leaked this to SI instead of saying it themselves. it was a set up scenario
