Look it up. Publisher's Clearinghouse denies ever having had a spokesman. I have never met a single person who has ever heard of Publisher's Clearinghouse that didn't KNOW with 100% certainty that Ed McMahan was the spokesman. That's literally the only reason I knew of him as a celebrity.

He definitely did commercials for them. I think he even showed up at peoples front door with balloons and a giant check.

I don't know if Ed was an "official spokesman" but he was always doing PCH commercials back in the day. There is no denying that.
