Here is my OP.
Now, where in my OP did I come out bashing Trump only or individually?
Trump bears a part of the responsibility. Your refusal to accept that does not change that fact. Trump signed bills that have caused deficits to grow and add to the national debt. End of story.

LINK quote: The federal government recorded a budget surplus in January. But so far this budget year, the total deficit is 77 percent higher than the same period a year ago. The Treasury Department said Tuesday that the deficit for the first four months of this budget year, which began Oct. 1, totaled $310.3 billion. That's up from a deficit of $175.7 billion in the same period a year ago. The surplus in January was $8.7 billion. For those of you who may be excited about the January surplus... quote: The $8.7 billion surplus in January was down from a larger $49.2 billion surplus in January 2018. January, a month when both individuals and corporations make tax payments, has run surpluses in 26 of the past 65 years. Oh, and for those of you who are fans of trickle-down economics, and the idea that lowering tax rates will somehow increase total tax revenue due to more money being available to drive sales: quote: From October through January, government revenues total $1.11 trillion, down 1.7 percent from the same period a year ago. Government spending totals $1.15 trillion, up 8.8 percent from the same period a year ago. So the tax cuts are having a net reduction on federal revenue. Which is fine, I'm fully supportive of lesser federal revenues. But not only is spending not being cut to compensate, spending is up 8.8 percent. How can anyone who calls themselves a conservative - Trump Variety or RINO Variety or Establishment Variety - be ok with this? How in the hell are we not cutting spending?
