"need" is a strong word.

Beat Bama, Florida, and Vandy and a 3 seed is likely.

There are still lots of games to be played. If LSU just keeps winning we will be a 3 seed. Personally, I think if you end 2-1 and split UF/Bama and you go 1-1 in the SEC tourney, that's easily good enough for a 3 seed. I highly doubt everyone around us will win out

Playing a 14 seed and a 6 seed is much better than playing a 13 seed and a 5 seed.

doesnt really matter unless you think lsu is going to lose again in the regular season. LSU wins the league, nothing will stop us from being a 3 seed.

I certainly think LSU has a pretty decent shot at losing either Bama or Florida. IDK why you wouldn't root against teams just ahead of us. It is fun. It's one of my favorite things about bracketology. It gives me even more basketball to be invested in.

Oh i agree. You seem worried about LSU obtaining a 3 seed, thinking we needed help from others, but Im just saying, if LSU takes care of business like they should, a 3 seed is ours regardless. Really hoping LSU does well enough to get a 2 seed.

Would love for Purdue to go on a losing streak. They've been pissing me off for two months.

The only thing we "need" is to win the SEC regular season and get to the SEC Championship. don't even need to win it. that puts us at 28-6 and locks us in as a 3 for sure

Out of all that the only good one is Nova hosting Marquette.

At least the good teams in your list are all on road so maybe someone gets hot and gives us a treat.

why stop at a #3 seed. Win out and win the SEC - LSU might be a #1 seed!

Agreed. Win 6 straight and we are a lock for a 2 seed minimum.

I don't think I said a thing that could even be misconstrued as being "worried" however I do think there is a very reasonable possibility we do not win out in which it would be helpful for those around us to lose.

That being said, if Marquette, Purdue, or Texas Tech win their last 3/4 games I don't necessarily feel like we pass them. Their schedules are similar or tougher than ours is currently.

If you take off your purple and gold glasses you have to realize beating the teams on our remaining schedule isn't going to catapult us above those teams if they win too.

I disagree. LSU is on the rise. Those other teams have had a nice lead and LSU had to start further back. I think if LSU keeps winning they will continue to past them.
