Ali’s version of the old Hayes was the best acting in the show imo. But both were great overall

I couldn’t fault someone for that opinion. They both were great in the old man role. Ali probably wins that timeline.

Can't argue against that. I thought he did the old man better than any of the younger versions. There was just something off about his portrayals as a younger man to me.

I am admittedly no acting expert, however.

Agreed and really stands out upon any rewatch, when you can focus more on the acting and not processing the story/dialogue.
