So you think the Knicks can sign three max level free agents? You do know there's a salary cap right? I think they barely have enough to sign two. They would have to trade AD for salary that's on the team to fit him in.

And an over 30 KD is not gonna want to wait on a 19 year old Zion to go through his growing pains. See Laker Lebron this year to see how that's working out....

You do realize that is their plan. They know they can get AD/Durant/Kryie if they want to, and if Durant/Kyrie want to, or any two other max players. That is their plan. Even if they don't get AD, they are still looking to sign two max contracts.

They have $34M in salaries next year. 4 rookie deals around $4.5M each and 2 rookie deals at $1.6 each
The only thing they can't get rid of is Noah's $6M stretch money. Lance Thomas is only guaranteed $1M of $7M final year next year, and that $34M is counting his $7M.

I don't know enough details of the timing of things and the CBA, on if they have to make the draft selections then trade them, then sign KD/Kryie, or if they have to make the draft selections, sign KD/Kyrie, then make the trade.

Kyrie will make $32.7M if he signs with someone other than the Celtics. Durant will be at $38.1M. That's $71M.
Cap is projected at $108M.
Have to remember that their first round pick will have a salary, which will count towards the AD trade.

Again, i'm not a GM or expert CBA guy, but you cut Lance, thus guaranteeing him only $1M. You're now at $28M in salaries for next year. Add $7M for Zion and we are back at $35M. that's $73M in cap space. agree to trade but don't execute it yet. Sign KD/Kyrie and now they are at $106M, still a little room to spare in salaries (I realize i'm not taking into consideration bonus in those cap figures, which i think i'm supposed to be). Anyways, now they can trade pretty much all of their rookies (DSJ/Frank/Knox/Trier/Robinson/Dotson) and Zion, getting the salaries to match up with AD's $27M (he'd have to waive his 15% trade kicker). They can get it to around $21M without including 1 of DSJ/Ntikilina, but not sure what kind of buffer there can be in the offseason with uneven trades.
THey can get all 3 if they want to.
