The box office has many problems. In my instance, and I definitely don't claim to speak for everyone, it is #1 quality of product and #2 interjecting personal political beliefs into scripts/acting/advertising. It's the same with professional athletics, dining, any kind of entertainment. You can provide a product that is just so good that I don't care about your other stupidity or you can offer a mediocre product and keep your mouth shut about everything else. Pick one, or the other. Assuming they have put the best parts of the movie in the trailers, this movie looks really bad. So the ONLY reason you would want to see it is grrrrrl power, which makes you an idiot.

I'm so confused by this girl power schtick you keep pushing. Captain Marvel is a part of the Marvel Comic books. She is a real character with a lot of history. This movie is about her life. Why is that so wrong?
Were Marvel supposed to cast a man as Captain Marvel, would that have made you happy?
