What about It?
Everyone soaks their crawfish after they cut the heat off

No, salt water does nothing.

And I’m sure everyone that’s ever had your crawfish wants your recipe and thinks it’s the best crawfish ever.

So what’s your method then? If you boil the whole time it only takes a crawfish about 9 minutes to cook at a constant rolling boil. That’s not even close to being long enough to have the bugs in the water. I genuinely want to know.

Matter of a fact I was asked twice this week when am I having a crawfish boil.
Steam about 20-25 lbs for 7 minutes in water seasoned with swamp dust. Dust them in an ice chest with swampdust. Let stand for 10 minutes.
It’s the KISS method that works

So do you do another pot with potaotoes, garlic, mushrooms, sausage, corn, etc? And what are you steaming 1/2 sacks?

You should. Otherwise the potatoes suck up all the spice.

Boil potatoes, corn and onions before crawfish. Keep them in a tightly sealed pot. The sacks I try to get will have between 35-40 lbs per sack

Just have extra clean crawfish. I wash with 1 bottle of vinegar (16 oz) and 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol.

I guess soaking is a BR area thing
No, half the state soaks and the other half sprinkles. And geography is only a partial factor.

I’ve some sprinkle method that were great but main thing I didn’t like is heads weren’t very juicy and that’s one of my favorite parts. Also the meat was overall kinda dried out too. But again, still had a good enough overall taste experience.
