i was coming to say this. my electric bill is more in the winter than the summer. I can't for the life of me understand why a heat pump was installed in this house when gas is already there for the fireplace, oven/stove, dryer, and water heater. The heat pump is loud and inefficient.

My A/C guy talked me in to the heat pump when I built 2 years ago. Haven’t had any issues yet. The units are located next to my bedroom and they are quiet. The house never dropped below 70 degrees when we had hard freezes the last two winters. Trane units fwiw

get a gas furnace for heat

get an a/c unit for cooling

forget about heat pumps, they are garbage and a complete scam just like hybrid cars
