It isn’t acceptable. But me personally I have always had the mentality that I won’t blame the refs. That the players could have done something to win the game regardless of a bad call. I’m not looking to blame someone else first and foremost like so many others.

According to your mindset, it is perfectly acceptable.

It has zero impact apparently and if teams are good enough, they should be able to beat the other teams and the refs.

So, it is perfectly acceptable for refs to try and fix games.

Okay.

Defense could have made a stop. Yup. Agreed.

But offense couldn't do anything about a blatant DPI or roughing the passer in OT or the one in 4th quarter. They make those calls and saints had a 95+% win.

Refs have a very able hand to control a game. If a game was 100-99, game 7 of wcf, and harden goes up for a layup to get smashed by Demarcus cousins and doesn't get a call... You gonna say we'll he could have made a shot earlier? That'd be stupid to say otherwise.

I agree. Using refs as an excuse is stupid, but there are some calls/no calls that are absolutely horrendous and definitely alter outcomes.
