Do you use a jailbroken phone?

IOS 12 jailbreak will be coming out shortly. Jailbreaking these days is much safer and more fluid than it used to be, and can make the IOS experience so much better. Who jailbreaks, and if not why?

Not for about 10 years.

Not anymore. A lot of the features Apple adopted and some programs that stream digital content won’t run if the phone/tablet is jailbroken.

When a new jailbreak comes out I'll try it but that only lasts for a few days because so many tweaks aren't updated for the newest versions of iOS.

I used a rooted Android phone back when Cyanogenmod was all rage. I haven't had a rooted phone in some time now though.

I have never seen a jailbroken phone that didn't become a laggy frustrating POS shortly after. These days though what's the point?

Loading custom/ third party apps that didnt need to be approved through the Google play store. Removing system apps that can't normally be removed. Getting that latest version of Android usually way before the wireless providers released their own updates.

And root level ad blocking was always a must.
Nowadays, unless you buy something other than Samsung, its hard to root then. Fortunately apps have gotten better at blocking.

It’s not 2012 anymore. I don’t see the need. Stock iOS works fine for me, especially since they’re finally bringing dark mode in the next update like they did on macOS

I tried to jailbreak an older iPhone 6 so I could use it route my imessages through the browser on my PC. I couldn't get it to work.
