It's definitely a separate "branch," so to speak, but some of these guys have enormous followings and I think it does damage to the Christian faith

No doubt, I just don't think there is significant overlap.

Some may question that by noting (perhaps correctly) that plenty of church leaders who don't preach prosperity gospel still may be in it for the money. That could be true, but I still don't think they interact much.

In short, prosperity theology is entirely corrupt IMO. All of them. And that contingent rarely bleeds over into other evangelical movements.

But of course, that doesn't preclude corruption within those evangelical movements. It's just case-by-case instead of ingrained in the movement itself.
