I never really bought into Bale as Batman. You can't be 180lbs and have the physical presence to really be Batman. Speaks to how good the Nolan movies were that the main character was a relatively weak link. Affleck was a much better representation of the Batman character than Bale.

As far as Nolan’s trilogy goes, I think Begins is the best film with Dark Knight following closely behind largely due to Joker. Rises just wasn’t good.
I’m hopeful for Reeve’s detective-centric take on the character. Hopefully we get another physically imposing individual like Affleck. I’d be ecstatic for the same fight choreographer as well. The “Saving Martha” scene is the best Batman fight in all of Batman live action.
