Wouldn't that be picked up with the superfetch feature in Windows 10?

Superfetch just makes programs load faster (it pre-loads your most-used programs), it doesn't have anything to do with drivers or BIOS updates.

Windows 10 came stock on my computer when I bought it. It is a MEMORY HOG. Bought and set up a computer for a buddy. It had 8g of memory which is a little on the low side for modern computers but he literally only surfs youtube. The thing ran slow as molasses.

I've installed 10 on 4gb RAM machines and it runs well enough for light Office use but yeah it really wants 8gb (5-6, if you want to get more precise) to work well.

The McAfee package that comes on the computer was causing it to bog. Uninstalled that and it cleared up. Put AVG on the computer once we uninstalled McAfee.

It's always best to go through and uninstall all the bloat that comes with any version of Windows and 10 is definitely no exception. Unless you do a bit of work with Powershell, a .wim file, ADK and Audit mode then every profile you create in Windows 10 will have certain set crapware in it (Sway, the MS entertainment apps, some internet games, etc).

I wouldn't even use AVG. Windows Defender works fine on it's own IMO. Best thing to do is load Windows 10 LTSB which completely strips out all bloatware and spyware from Windows 10.
