Honestly, I think he'd get more support if he'd focus more on the economics than crime. Both are important, but make the argument that we can't be a welfare state for the rest of the world, though we sympathize for those looking for a better life and coming here. However we already have humanitarian crisis with poor and homeless in our country that need fixing, and we seem to be putting non-citizens needs before our own citizens (many veterans).
If this is such a huge humanitarian crisis, then other prosperous countries should offer to help. The burden shouldn't fall all on us. But since none of them are helping, the wall must go up.

THIS - and the NEW VOTER crisis that awaits.
Could have tied DEMOCRAT policy to EVERY bad aspect of the illegal alien problem.

The thing is, he's already stated this stuff many, many times. He's brought in professionals that stated it many, many times as well. He's tried everything and everyone knows what the deal is here. He doesn't have to say it all again, he's not changing any minds at this point.
He's basically reached the end of the rope, there's nothing left to say.
