Are they going to put produce on the train?

Probably except the produce will be more illegals to produce more illegal votes towards the northern part of the state.

One of the green movement’s primary environmental “solutions” turned out out to be a monumental flop (just as all the sensible people had predicted), Cali wants to now steal what’s left of the federal outlay, and your biggest concern is getting one of the thieves’ name spelled right?

You are a good little NPC!

That is another shining example of the lunacy in California politics. There is no way it can fiscally sustain itself. Not enough population to use it and if you're in Bakersfield, you aren't sitting around planning your family's trip to Merced for family get-aways. The only way it works is to have it in big population centers. Even then, highly suspect it could ever be profitable.

Especially in the good ole U.S. of A. People love their cars and trucks too much.

Billions of dollars pissed away on stupid liberal "green" ideas that don't work.

Liberalism devoured that state with the quickness.

It's decline started in the early 70s after Reagan served out.

Interestingly, right about the time the "fruits" of Ted "what drowned pregnant girl in my car" Kennedy's 1965 immigration law started to kick in.

I think cutting Federal funding to Cali would be a good move.

Merced to Bakersfield is about a 2 hour and 15 minute drive. 160 miles. And, there is already passenger train service between the two cities for $25. Who needs to get between these two places in the future in 1 and 1/2 hours, stopping in Fresneck for $15,000,000,000?

Yup. It would be cheaper to give everyone in Merced $150,000 to stay the f*ck out of Bakersfield.

Yup.

And, supposedly the congressman whose district this boondoggle runs through got the preferential first segment between the two cities by holding out for it in exchange for his “Yes” vote for...Obamacare.
