The problem is the way people drive here. Complete and total wreckless abandonment. Weaving in and out of traffic, extreme speeding, just a general disregard for other cars. Nobody here knows how to drive. I see at least 3 wrecks a day. It’s like everyone’s just playing bumper cars.

yep, we have almost daily wreck threads on here.

a large chunk of our costs in insurance is due to the 4 urban areas that have 40% less insured drivers than the rest of the state.

Yeah - that is a bunch of corrupt scumbags getting lobbyists kickbacks. Could care less about their constituents.

Thank you for that pertinent information. This thread is otherwise brimming with dumbass.

There will come a time when Gordon puts up so much tacky shite along I-10 between College and the split that the good people of Baton Rouge will reach a breaking point. We will take to the streets. There will be a popular uprising against our oppressor.
"GET GORDON. YOU'RE DONE," will be our cry.

Louisiana badly needs tort reform and the Texas version is a good model to study for that.
What type of tort reform do you have in mind?
One of the often cited examples is the "reform" of workers' compensation in Texas. It made it essentially impossible for injured workers to get fair compensation for getting hurt on the job. The employers pay lower premiums, sure, but their carriers steamroll injured workers. Its easy to beat the drum of "reform" until you are an injured worker and you can't get treated fairly because the laws are stacked against you.
With regards to tort reform for auto accidents, what type of reforms do you have in mind? Please give us examples.

Tennessee has a law that says if the accident is 50% your responsibility than you get nothing

Broaden your study on these issues. Step back, read data on all sides of the issues. Don't just focus on billboard attorneys.

I will hate the player. A person shouldn't need a law to know not to be a lying a-hole making fake medical claims.
