LSUAgCenter has some great info, no matter the lawn type you have. Start hitting your broadleaves with post-emergent now, and get your crabgrass preventer down asap.

Now is the time to kill stickergrass before it forms those pesky stickers!

I applied a pre-emergent sometime October or Nov last year and fertilized with 5-10-10.

Haven't done anything since (I'm in Houston, using Texas A&M st. augustine guide).

Part of my lawn are starting to green up but I'm also getting clover patches (the clover that produces the purple flower). Any tips on what i should put down to knock back the clover? Is it ok to start fertilizing with 15-5-10?

Can I put down Atrazine and my spray preemergent within say 30 minutes of each other? I plan on doing both either Thursday or Friday before rain gets here this weekend.

If you had a barren 1/2 yard, what would you do?

I moved into a house in November and had a ton of dirt in to raise the yard/level. The only grass currently is rye grass that I threw down in the front and by the back patio.

I have been back and forth between hydroseeding, laying down some myself, or just letting whatever pop up since I know the natural grass will probably take over any way.

I'm not a huge stickler on the type of grass for the yard, just want something that is good for kids to run around on.

Alright fellas, I am starting from scratch build a house that finished in November and haven't been able to do anything until now. Live on a half acre. I will be planting some sod soon around the main areas of the front and back yard, and perimeter of the house. What kind of sod do you guys recommend and also should I seed the areas around the sod with something else? TIA

So I'm a rookie first time homeowner so forgive any dumb questions I may ask...and not knowing what yall are talking about.

My lawn turned brown over the winter, and is as of right now still brown with patched of clover. What exactly is the best way to proceed right now? I live in Shreveport, and honestly am not sure what kind of grass I have.

TIA
